Rods and Blinds, waikato

Another timeless classic with an easy to hang pencil pleat heading.
The linen look fabric has a slightly irregular texture that allows daylight to shine through the weave, while also creating privacy. It creates a comfortable light and a feeling of warmth in your home.
Use the drop down menu to select your size; with the width stated first followed by the height or drop.
Choosing the right size:

These curtains can be hung with a curtain track, rod track or rod and rings using curtain hooks (not included).

There are three hook positions on the heading, allowing you to choose how your curtains sit against the curtain track or rod.

For example, if you're using a track you may want to use the middle or lower row of hooks to cover the track, whereas if you're using a curtain rod you may want to use the top row of hooks so the curtains hang below the gliders or rings.

The three hook position also gives options to adjust the length from the floor by moving the hooks up or down pockets which raises or lowers the curtain.

The specified drop is taken from the top of the curtain to the bottom edge of the curtain.

The width stated indicates the size of one curtain when laid completely flat.
This pack contains two curtains, and the track/rod length we've recommended allows for the two curtains to be gathered when the curtains are drawn. For a fuller look, increase the curtain width.

One pair of 180cm width curtains will fit a curtain track/rod size of 160-220cm
One pair of 210cm width curtains will fit a curtain track/rod size of 190-250cm
One pair of 240cm width curtains will fit a curtain track/rod size of 220-270cm
One pair of 270cm width curtains will fit a curtain track/rod size of 250-310cm

    Curtain Measurements
It is important you enter the correct measurements to ensure the curtains are made to the exact requirements, the information required is:

    Width
To achieve the correct width, the size of the track or pole is required.

We recommend that any track/pole should be fitted 15cm - 30cm either side of the window recess to allow curtains when open to be pulled back away from the window.

    • Curtain Track - ensure you measure the width of curtain track and not the window.
    • Curtain Pole - ensure you measure the width of the pole, excluding the finials.

    Length
If choosing Pencil Heading - the drop measurement should be taken from the top of the track or the bottom of the ring.

If choosing Eyelet Heading - the drop measurement should be taken from the top of the pole - please ensure you add 3cm to the drop for the fabric allowance visible above the pole

Deciding on curtain length is down to personal preference, however there are three basic lengths you may wish to choose from:

    • Sill length - The curtain should be approximately 1cm above the sill.
    • Below sill length - The curtain should be 15 cm below the sill or 3cm above the radiator.
    • Floor length - The curtain should be 2.5cm above the floor.

  • Am I buying a curtain or a pair?

All of our curtains come packed in pairs unless otherwise stated in the Description tab of the curtain. So when you have "Quantity: 1" in your shopping basket, this will purchase the pair.
