About Rods & Blinds

Rods & Blinds is a family owned business based in Hamilton in the Waikato. Our company was started in 1994 with the manufacture of traditional cedar venetian blinds and wooden curtain rods. From a simple father and son artisan craft business with good old fashioned service we have quietly grown employing master craftsmen (and women) who hold the same values as ourselves. We are immensely passionate and proud of making our blinds and curtain rods using traditional techniques and hand finishing each one, before been checked, packed and couriered to you.
Although we are based in Hamilton and Cambridge most of our customers are in Auckland, Wellington, Christchurch and Queenstown. In fact, there are not may places left in New Zealand that have not seen our famous, long brown boxes containing blinds. Not only have we delivered to most places of New Zealand, but have used most types of transport, road and rail to Auckland, ferries to Stewart and Waiheke Islands,our boxes have even been delivered by helicopter to an exclusive lodge high up in the Southern Alps!

Product Design

All our products are designed and manufactured right here in New Zealand using our own team of talented design engineers that ensures that each of our products is quick and easy to install and give years of trouble free service. We back this up with exceptionally long warranties, product updates and you can always phone us on our 0800 help desk.
With our curtain rod ranges the control of all processes of production from design, to prototyping and then manufacturing of all the individual components. Our ability to tackle problems and develop innovative ideas quickly over the years, is unique to Rods and Blinds. The wood track curtain rods and our internationally patented brackets for our Elements Metal track rods are prime examples of this and we strive to lead the market with our attention to detail and continued focus on the design.
